Dear Dad and Mom,
This week has gone by sooo fast. This Friday,
October 19, I've been called to my new zone. I work in the family history
digital and preservation services. I am excited to start, which will be Monday. It was also my trainers last day, Elder Speidel. He was a good trainer. He
taught me how to source names and make my pedigree bulletproof.
After
all of the new missionaries got their new zones, we went to the Jordan
River temple for the endowment session. We also ate lunch in the
cafeteria and the food was pretty good. That was my first time eating in the temple cafeteria.
When I was in training, I am
about 40 -60% sure that Grandma Jones has an older sister, Barbara Jean
Fife. I might have found her birth certificate with Grandma Bailey's last name on it. I want to do more research.
About ASL it was too bad that I didn't get called to the deaf zone, but
that's ok, because maybe the Lord, knows when the best opportunity is.
But they have an ASL class in the Family History Library, and I want to try and go to it.
I heard that you guys had fun and Jekka told me that the red jeep popped
a tire and the blue jeep had it's wheels in the air. That sounds like
an awesome moab trip. I don't know why but I don't feel jealous for some
reason.
Another thing is that new.familysearch will soon no longer exist and familytree on the familysearch.org will replace it and Mom don't worry about the mistakes on new.familysearch because some of them are opinions. If you log on to familysearch and family tree
does not appear that's because it's not up yet and they are still
working on it. Right now, I have a lot of sources on my familytree, I am
allowed on it because my trainer put in an invite. Hope you guys have a fun next week and give Katie, Peej,
Midnight, Leo, a hug for me. I miss them, but mostly katie.
Love,
Elder K. Jones
P.S.
Mom, can you forward my emails to Bro. Jolley, his email is in my contacts in my yahoo mail.
