Hi Mom and Dad,
I am doing well, this week has gone by fast again. I
had started in my zone on the third floor. I would possibly be doing
processing the books up there, I don't know yet and I have one more week of
training here in the family history library. Yesterday, Friday Oct 26,
was my first T-n-R (temple and research). It was just a half a day, and I
was working on Gpa K's side but it was difficult since his dad
and him changed their last names so I am going on a different approach. I
am going to start finding Julius Szilberman (Gpa K's grandpa). He
doesn't have much information, but maybe that would lead me somewhere.
I am making sure to pray so that the spirit of Elijah can help me with
my search. After I write this email I will go to the temple to do Opa's
(Frans Braal) name, so he can have his initiatory done and on Halloween,
we will be going to the Mount Timanoges (it's spelled wrong), to do an endowment
session and I will bring Opa's name. I can tell when I see him again,
he will give me a hug for doing his temple work.
Also next month,
November, me and my companion will be moving into a new apartment
because new missionaries will be coming. Apparently, I will be living
with the other Elder Jones, so I would like to know how that will work out. I have been building puzzles back at my apartment, which has
been fun. I forgot to say that I am in an evening zone, Tuesday -
Thursday. It's called the special projects. My project is wiki: Welsh
names list. I am supposed to correct or edit names on the familysearch wiki by going through
certain books. It's been fun. I seen a lot of Jones' in the books. That
would be interesting coming across one of my ancestors. I also got my
packages you sent me so thank you.
As for my zone, the missionaries and employers are very nice and kind.
They have been giving me work, while they are still figuring out what to
do with me. So far I will be out on my mission for one month, gosh,
it's gone by fast. Well, that's what happens when I have fun. Well, I will email you back next Saturday and dad I bet
that if I saw the front yard it would look nice. Is there a planter
area in front of the rock? See ya in two years.
Love from your missionary,
Elder Kevin R. Jones
P.S. Give Katie the dog a hug for me
everyday and tell her to watch my legos and to guard them. Give Peej and Midnight and Leo a hug. Also Mom, don't think about getting another cat
when I am gone.
